Daniel Casey of the 14u CLASH Placed 3rd Nationally

Daniel Casey just returned from Hershey, PA where he competed in the Standing Long Jump at the National Hershey Track and Field Meet on Saturday, August 1st. He finished 3rd in the Country with a jump of 8'10.5". He enjoyed the event which ran July 30 through August 2nd. He visited Hershey's Chocolate Factory, Hershey Amusement Park, and met Carl Lewis who was on hand to inspire the young athletes. He was one of 7 competitors from Arizona ages 8 to 14. According his chaperon, Daniel's 3rd place finish is the highest for an Arizona athlete in the past 10 years of this national competition.
